bayol avahCanadian officials said the 27-year-old Scarborough man who they arrested earlier this week for impersonating a teacher, worked in several Toronto area schools.

Authorities said from April 1 to June 5th of this year Bayol Avah worked as a special needs assistant and teacher’s aide at Inglewood Heights Junior Public School, H.A. Halbert Junior Public School, Ionview Public School, Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute and Centennial Road Junior Public School.

Const. Steven Van Der Krabben said Avah “was never employed by the Toronto District School Board.”

Avah, of Toronto, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with five counts of personation to gain advantage.

He is scheduled to appear in Scarborough court on September 8.
