Music executive Suge Knight was arrested early this morning for killing a man in California.

suge knightAuthorities said the rapper “intentionally” drove over two men with his pickup truck killing one, during the filming of a movie involving rapper turned actor Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.

It’s unclear whether the musician, whose real name is Marion Knight, was part of the movie production, but according to TMZ, around 2:00 a.m. Friday the rapper was involved in a fight and security asked him to leave the set.

The entertainment news site writes “Suge got back into his car, took the wheel and threw the vehicle in reverse…and ran over a man who suffered fatal injuries.”

The victim, identified as Terry Carter, is believed to have been a close associate of Knight. TMZ claims Knight, Carter and the other victim arrived on the set of the movie “Straight Outta Compton” in the musician’s red Ford F-150 Raptor.

An update on the other victim, who has not been identified, was not available at press time.

Knight, who was shot six times last summer, was accompanied by his lawyer when he surrendered to police this morning. He was released after posting $2million bail.

Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were NOT on the set of the movie at the time of the incident.
