One week after a Los Angeles judge awarded one of her employees $100,000 in punitive damages, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump put her upscale restaurant, Villa Blanca, on the market for sale.
Vanderpump hired Paris Hilton’s father company, Hilton & Hyland, to unload the restaurant she made famous by pushing it on her hit reality show.
Lisa, along with her husband, Ken Todd, were ordered to pay former waitress Karina Bustillos $100,000 in punitive damages after Ms. Bustillos claimed former restaurant manager, Michael Govia, made unwanted sexual advances at her, called her foul names and “manhandled” her.
Bustillos, who had already been awarded $6,000 by a jury following Govia’s testimony, said Vanderpump and Todd failed to take action when she complained about the incidents.
This is not the first time that a lawsuit has been brought against the couple by a former employee. In 2012, Vanderpump and Todd settled a $75,000 lawsuit with an ex-employee.
Details surrounding that lawsuit were not available at press time.
