Authorities in California said a Napa Valley businessman killed his partner before committing suicide over financial disagreement.

robert dahlPolice said winemaker Robert Dahl shot his partner Ernad Tawfilis execution-style at the Dahl Vineyards Tuesday afternoon during a dispute over money.

It is said that the two men were involved in a bitter feud over loans made to the winery and had met to discuss a pending lawsuit. During the discussion, 47-year-old Dahl brandished a gun causing his partner to run out of the winery building into the vineyard outback.

Dahl then jumped into his SUV and followed 48-year-old Tawfilis, who at this time had called 911.

Reports say Dahl eventually caught up with Tawfilis and shot him execution-style in the head.

Within minutes, officers arrived at the scene and Dahl jumped back into his vehicle leading police on a high speed chase.

It is said that Dahl then turned his gun on himself.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
