Greenwich police arrested a local teen and Westchester, New York, man after a party ended in chaos early Tuesday morning.
Witnesses said after the party ended friends asked Debarros not to drive home since he had been drinking. They said Debarros began arguing with them then he picked up a pair of shears and barricaded himself inside the home at 71 Indian Harbor Drive.
Revelers fled the home, including the 19-year-old host, Kurt Bicher.
When officers arrived, Debarros refused to exit the home and Bicher was nowhere to be found.
Around 4:00 a.m. while officers were attempting to get Debarros to surrender, they received a call from a homeowner on nearby Lakewood Circle who said there was a burglary inside his home.
A few minutes after the second emergency call, Bicher appeared outside his home and when asked where he was for the two-and-a-half hours that officers were negotiating with Debarros to surrender, the teenager said he had gone for a walk.
After a brief investigation, it was determined that Bicher was the intruder inside the Lakewood Circle home.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
Debarros, who police eventually found hiding under some blankets in the attic, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Both men are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on September 10.
